Organizations, such as dosomething.org, report human trafficking as a $150 billion a year industry... with $99 billion generated through commercial sexual exploitation and another $41 billion generated through immigrant worker exploitation, and the emotional and psychological tolls this exacts from those affected is beyond measure. Although many organizations have taken a stand to eradicate human trafficking, no one entity can do it alone. What is needed is a force of many – business, law enforcement, government and community – united, to challenge the prejudices, and supporting social structures that allow for the existence of human trafficking.
Through partnership with the aforementioned sectors, Darkness2Hope develops and implements solutions to deter and combat human trafficking in hotels and public spaces and to bridge technological and administrative gaps between government agencies and existing not for profit providers of support services for survivors of human trafficking. Our goal, to support the national effort in response to human trafficking, is founded in our mission to safeguard every human being’s chance to thrive with self determination and in dignity.
